Eid al-Fitr social media ideas for brands
Eid al-Fitr 2027 is expected around 9 or 10 March, at the end of Ramadan. Plan it in three parts: the last week of Ramadan for gifts, outfits and order deadlines; Eid itself for a greeting in your own voice and your holiday hours; and the days after for thanks and the offer's last days. Schedule everything before the holiday starts, because your team will be off too.
The dates
Eid al-Fitr marks the end of Ramadan. In 2027 it is expected around 9 or 10 March, with the exact day set by the moon sighting, and the public holiday usually runs for several days depending on the country. Build your calendar with a day of slack on either side.
Before Eid: the last week of Ramadan
This is when people buy. They are choosing gifts, outfits and what to serve, and they are watching delivery dates.
- The order deadline for delivery before Eid. One of the most useful posts of the month. Post it twice.
- Gifts by who they are for, with real prices and the currency.
- The Eid outfit or the Eid table, one idea per post.
- Your Eid offer, with its real start and end dates.
- Your holiday hours, for the store, the branch, customer service and delivery.
On Eid: the greeting
Every brand posts "Eid Mubarak" on the same morning. Most of those posts are the same gold crescent on a dark background. Yours should look like your brand and sound like it.
- Use your own colours, type and photography. The greeting should be recognisable as yours with the logo covered.
- Keep the words short. "Eid Mubarak from all of us at" and your name is enough. A long message on Eid morning does not get read.
- Post in the language your audience reads. If that is Arabic and English, typeset both properly rather than pasting Arabic into an English layout. For an example of the two set together, see the Nuqta designs on our home page, made by Planist for a fictional demonstration brand.
- Show people only as they choose to be shown, with their permission.

After Eid
- Thank your customers, in one line.
- The last days of the offer, if it runs past Eid.
- Delivery updates if orders are running late.
- Back to your usual rhythm. The month after Eid is a good time to return to your normal content pillars.
What to avoid
- A generic greeting card. Gold crescent, dark background, no brand.
- Discount-only greetings. "Eid Mubarak, 30% off" reads as if the greeting was an excuse.
- Going silent. A brand with nothing scheduled over the holiday looks closed on the busiest days of the year.
- Getting the date wrong. Check the announced date in each country you post to.
Questions people ask
- When is Eid al-Fitr 2027?
- It is expected around 9 or 10 March 2027, at the end of Ramadan. The exact date depends on the moon sighting and can differ by a day between countries.
- What should a brand post for Eid?
- Before Eid, gifts, outfits, offers and order deadlines. On Eid, a short greeting in the brand's own style and its holiday hours. After Eid, thanks, the offer's last days and delivery updates.
- Should brands post on Eid day itself?
- Yes, one greeting and your holiday hours. Schedule both before the holiday so nobody has to work on the day.
